Lauren and I met for a coffee at Starbucks, before she booked me as her wedding photographer. She was down to earth and told it like it was. I like that. I left our meeting, feeling like I had just caught up with an old friend. I was beyond excited when she reached back out to let me know they'd decided to work with me. Lauren and Chase are getting married at Orion Hill, and I literally can't wait to shoot there! As a previous wedding videographer, I know Shelby has thought of every little thing at this beautiful new wedding venue! Lauren's number one request for the engagement photos was to include Duncan, her Rottweiler baby. Of course I said "yes!" I love when people bring their furbabies to their sessions! Duncan is a big playful baby. He was so sweet, so well-behaved, and even smiled for the camera! YES! He smiled! We started the session out at the dog park in Shelby Farms and then drove over and hiked down to the Wolf River, to finish up. After having to reschedule once, due to rain, we could not have asked for better weather for Lauren and Chase's fall engagement session! I had such a good time with them, getting to know them and get a feel for how they interact as a couple. They are funny and thoughtful of each other. They shared an inside joke with me that they both find hilarious, and it's safe to say that they totally get each other. I cannot wait to celebrate Lauren and Chase this spring!
