From Elizabeth's first email to me, I just knew I wanted to work with her and Sam. Her kind-hearted spirit was that evident, even through email. Their engagement session was my first session, coming back from maternity leave. And what a great session to start with! The love these two have for each other made my job SO MUCH FUN! I love photographing couples in love, and these two hit it out of the park! I seriously cannot wait to photograph their wedding! Elizabeth and Sam met each other at Ole Miss, where they both attend school, so we just had to do their engagement session in Oxford, MS. We started out the session at Rowan Oak, the historical home of William Faulkner, and finished up at the Ole Miss campus. The weather forecast wasn't looking too promising for the day of our session, and we had a tiny window of opportunity for the session to actually take place in Oxford. It was supposed to be thunder storming and flash flooding all day long. Elizabeth and I watched it closely, and decided to play it by ear the day of. As the day went on, the rain chance was pushed further and further back, giving us hope! We decided to go for it, so I packed up the car and headed toward Oxford! I drove through a little stormy weather on the way, making me a little nervous, but she texted and said it was still dry there, so I kept on. To say we lucked out with the weather is an understatement! It wasn't until the final few minutes of our session, as we were finishing up, that it started to sprinkle on us! These two were just meant to have their Oxford engagement session! There are so many pictures that I just LOVE from Elizabeth and Sam's engagement session! I think they turned out so beautifully; I hope you enjoy them too! It wasn't until these last few shots, that it started to sprinkle. We were finishing up anyway, since we had already soaked up every last little bit of sunlight.
