When it comes to newborn sessions, I have a few different options.
All newborn sessions take place in your home. I bring all of the supplies and props with me and set up my mini studio right there in your home. Newborn sessions are best when shot within your baby's first 2 weeks.
I only take a limited number of newborn sessions per month, so I recommend having your due date on my books by the end of your second trimester. I offer a few different types of newborn sessions: Studio, Beanbag Mini, and Lifestyle. Be sure to read over the descriptions of each session type to ensure you are booking exactly what you want. studio
Studio sessions are for those who want to capture it all- newborn portraits (posed and in props) and family shots. These sessions are pressure free, as I go with the flow of your baby. No time constraints allow for feeding time, soothing time, etc.
This session will include 2-4 different backgrounds on the beanbag, 2-3 set ups in props (bowls, baskets, etc), and family photos. I bring everything I need with me: lighting, beanbag for posing baby, backdrops, wraps, hats, baskets, etc.. This session can include the entire immediate family: mom, dad, and older siblings. These newborn sessions typically last 3-4 hours. This is because I like to follow your baby’s cues. When baby is hungry, we'll stop to feed him. When baby needs extra loving, we'll stop for some soothing cuddles. I take my time and will not rush your baby.

I get it- newborn photos can be expensive! I am now offering newborn mini sessions for those parents who still want to capture those sweet newborn features while on a budget. These sessions are focused on your newborn baby only, without family members or props (baskets and bowls).
This session can last up to an hour and half with baby awake or asleep. It is much more simplistic than the studio session. This session will only include 1-2 backdrops.

lifestyle
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in your home. They take 1-1.5 hours and focus more on your new family in your space. I do not bring my beanbag and props for lifestyle sessions. These sessions are much more casual and relaxed than the studio newborn sessions and are meant to focus more on your family cuddled up in your home. I will give you direction and help position you, but these are definitely less posey-posey and much more casual than the studio sessions.
While I still prefer to shoot these as soon as we can, it is not as crucial to have these scheduled within baby's first 2 weeks, as we will not be posing your baby like in the other sessions.

Booking Your Session
It is never too soon to book your newborn session! A $300 non-refundable retainer fee is due at the time of booking. This puts your due date on my calendar. Your remaining balance is due at the time of your session. I would love to hear from you! Email me and let me know when you are due or ask any questions you might have! Thank you for considering me as your newborn photographer! I look forward to hearing from you!
**All prices are for the Memphis-area. Being outside of this area will result in a travel fee.
***Newborn sessions are typically shot during the week, with a start time of 10am. A $350 fee may be charged for Saturday sessions. Newborn sessions are not shot on Sundays.
