Madison and Jud's Woodruff-Fontaine wedding was so beautiful and intimate. Every little detail was so perfectly thought out. 
We had already spent an afternoon at Woodruff-Fontaine for their engagement photos, so I was extra excited for their wedding. These two are so easy to hang out with, and that's what working with them felt like- hanging out with old friends.

Baby G's mama booked my Studio Newborn Session, which is my most posed newborn session. (Again, I don't have a studio space, but bring my studio to you!) She only had a couple of requests, all of which were super sweet. She wanted Baby G holding a photo of his grandfather, which is his name sake. She wanted some Harry Potter themed photos, which were a lot of fun! And some of Baby G wearing the teddy bear hats that his grandmother had knit just for him! If you scroll all the way through this post, you'll see 2 different teddy bear hats that were made with love just for Baby G. You'll also see the best sibling shots ever!!! Baby G's big sister looks like she's waited her entire life for her baby brother! She was so sweet with him and so excited to snuggle him and kiss him!

Madison and Jud are so sweet, and I loved working with them so much! We did their engagement session at Woodruff-Fontaine House, and we had a blast! And their engagement photos turned out beautifully! For being two people who both claim to not liking being in front of the camera, they did such a good job warming up and their snuggle game was strong! If you know me, you know I love the snuggly, nuzzly photos. There are so many pretty areas to take photos on the grounds at Woodruff-Fontaine, and I loved getting to walk around and explore so many of the little treasures they have to offer.

Do you remember Bhargavi and Vinesh's maternity session? Well, baby A has made his appearance, and he is sweet as can be!! Mom and dad chose a wrapped session, where baby is swaddled or wrapped the entire time, and I had so much fun coming up with several different set ups for Baby A! He slept like a charm, allowing me to get through all of the setups I had planned with ease, and even had the chance to pose him in an adorable little jean and suspenders outfit Mom had as a little bonus. Mom and dad chose a lot of different colors to work with, and the sunset orange that Mom chose ended up being my favorite color on him! Let's be honest- he looked so cute in all of them! This was SUCH a fun session, and I am so glad the Mom and Dad chose me to do their first son's newborn photos. Baby A was SO SWEET! 

One of my favorite parts of this job of mine, is the people I get to meet. I am blessed to meet so many wonderful people who fill me with so much joy. Vinesh and Bhargavi did just that. This maternity session was filled with so much joy, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much! It was such a special maternity session; Vinesh's mother came along, to celebrate her first grandbaby. She came all the way from India, and while my communication was with her was limited by our language barrier, it was evident that she was full of pure love, and I was elated that she joined us. Another cool thing about this session was that Bhargavi ordered her two dresses, custom made for this day, from India! Vinesh and Bhargavi are the sweetest couple, and I am so honored they chose me to photograph their maternity portraits. We started out the session at Memphis Botanic Garden and then headed over to Beale Street Landing just in time for the sunset.

I first met Baby L's parents several years ago, when we met for coffee to discuss their wedding photos. We instantly connected, and I felt like they were long lost friends. We've kept in touch over the years, and I was so elated when Katelyn reached out to me, asking if I would shoot their newborn photos for their sweet little rainbow baby. OF COURSE!!! I love all my newborns, but there is just something extra special when it's one of my wedding couples! And it's always so much fun to personalize the session to a family's requests. For this session, Grandma requested a photo with this giant stuffed elephant that she had hand picked for her first grandbaby. Mom and Dad kind of chuckled when making the request, but I remembered back several years to their wedding, and hearing this same lady looking forward to her future grand-mothering days! Another request Mom and Dad had was a Harry Potter themed photo. When I tell you I was not expecting Dad to pull out a Harry Potter scarf he had knit himself!! Way too cool! So those photos were a lot of fun. Of course I brought a couple of rainbow props to honor the fact that Baby L is a beautiful rainbow baby. And Baby L's fur baby "big sisters" even made an appearance! This session was full of so much love and excitement!! I could not have been more thrilled that Mom and Dad chose me for these precious newborn photos!

Have you ever wondered what a TWIN newborn session looks like?! Twice the cuteness! It is always such an honor to get to photograph these sweet little humans, but this time is was double the honor! It was so neat to see their sense of each other. It was obvious they could tell when the other twin was next to them. An experience I will never forget! 

This maternity session was one for the books! This beautiful mama is expecting her second baby, and she just radiates pure joy! For personal reasons, I had to take some time off from work, and this was my first session back. And what a session to bring me back into my groove. I smiled the entire time! From the perfect weather, to the yummy sunlight, to this beautifully sweet family! I could not have asked for a more perfect session to come back from my leave to. Big Brother may even be a little budding photographer, himself! Make sure to scroll all the way through, and you'll find a couple of photos that he took of Mom and Dad! :) 

I really enjoyed this session, and the gallery ended up being much larger than usual because it was all just so perfect. It was difficult for me to cull down to a few favorites to share with y'all, but I did my best! ENJOY! 

These last 2 photos were taken by Big Brother! He's only 4, and did such a good job with his composition! 

This was such a sweet newborn photoshoot. Baby boy was a bit older than the typical newborn session, so he was awake for more than usual. I took advantage of that and captured some of his sweet little facial expressions. This is also why he's wrapped for a majority of the session. We were able to get a handful of unwrapped poses, but being older, he just didn't want to curl up and pose like a younger newborn typically does. Regardless, we were still able to capture a beautiful gallery for mom and dad. Mom and dad wanted a more family-focus than usual, especially including Grandma and Grandpa in a couple, since they were visiting from India. This session was so full of love and joy, that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much! (Also- just a fun sidenote: these sweet clients fed me lunch, and it was the first time I'd had Indian food. It most certainly won't be the last- as it was delicious!) Scroll all the way to the end for Dad's special request! He wanted mom and dad's hands making a heart around Baby Boy's toes, and the resulting image is too cute! I think it does his special request justice. :)

You may recognize this sweet couple from their wedding photos a couple of years ago. Their love for each other has only grown, and it's so fun to watch my wedding couples grow their families. The way these two make each other laugh is so refreshing, and I love being around them. I was elated when booked a Fall Session for their maternity photos. We could not have asked for better weather and better light! The golden hour light was so beautiful and glowy! If you ever wonder why I am so adamant about scheduling your session right during dinner, just scroll through these sun drenched photos, and you'll understand why! 

We took a little hike through the woods and stumbled upon the Wolf River. What a sweet little family session! Of course, I always grab a few of everyone looking and smiling at the camera, but then I really love the snuggly and playful shots; the shots in between the poses. This session made my heart sing.

Hannah and Donnie’s Pink Palace wedding is currently one of my favorite weddings I’ve photographed. My favorite thing about Hannah and Donnie is how obsessed with each other they are. If you remember their bomb engagement session at Shelby Farms, you'll understand why I was so excited for their wedding day at The Pink Palace! The Pink Palace has quickly become one of my favorite wedding venues. And who knew that they were dog friendly?! Hannah and Donnie’s fur babies joined in the ceremony and stayed long enough for a few portraits afterward.

Hannah and Donnie met in college, on the swim team. When I was gathering up all of Hannah and Donnie’s details for their detail shots, at the beginning of the day, I didn’t think much of Donnie’s hamburger socks. A lot of grooms wear goofy socks these days. But when Hannah saw them and started laughing, I knew there was a story. Donnie was wearing these exact hamburger socks with his speedo, during swim, the day the met. He told me that he knew that day and has been saving these socks just to wear the day he married Hannah.

Hannah and Donnie’s wedding was full of all these little personal touches, and it was so evident that they were surrounded by people who loved them and are cheering them on. This wedding day was exactly what every bride should have. Just being surrounded by love and happiness. Everyone was genuinely ecstatic for these two.
You guys know I love a first look. While Hannah and Donnie opted out of one, Hannah had a first look with her girls and her dad. Both moments were filled with some really sweet emotions.

While their wedding day was filled with loving emotions, there were also several fun packed moments too! It’s always such an exciting time being able to capture all of these little moments that collectively make up a bride and groom’s entire wedding day. Hannah’s family has a tradition of taking shots together prior to the ceremony, and that was fun to capture! Hannah iced Donnie during the garter retrieval, and his ability to chug that Smirnoff ice was impressive! DJ AD put on a par-tay at the reception and kept the dance floor energy up all night!

Did you know that I offer a Wrapped Newborn Session? This is where your baby will be swaddled in some form for the entire photoshoot? I love these sessions so much! It's amazing how much variety you can still get with these, as opposed to my full Newborn Session. Baby M's mama opted for the Wrapped Session and requested less "girly" colors for her sweet baby girl. Also, make sure to scroll all the way through, for her little "extra" Harry Potter photos!

Chris and Erica's intimate rustic wedding at Green Frog Farm was the most perfect wedding day. They were my final 2021 wedding, and it was such a sweet wedding to end the year on. What was supposed to have been a September fall wedding got pushed to December at the absolute very last minute- thanks Covid! Erica and Chris were thrown every curve ball, but still were so laid back and chill when their wedding day finally arrived. The weather could not have been more perfect, and it almost felt like it could have been that fall wedding after all. This was my first time shooting at Green Frog Farm, and I am in love! This wedding venue is so unique with such a wide variety of different location for portraits.

These two..... 

Working with Maggie and Rich was like hanging out with friends. They are so down to earth, so genuine, and SO FUN! Maggie and Rich were married in the heart of Memphis, TN at Avon Acres, which is a gorgeous newish Memphis Wedding Venue. Their entire day was so full of love and filled with so many happy tears. And boy- do these guys and their friends know how to party!?! SUCH A FUN WEDDING RECEPTION!!!

Baby Nora was so sweet! I loved doing her newborn photoshoot! I have tons of my own newborn props that my clients are more than welcome to, but that doesn't mean you can't have your own things too. Baby girl's grandma bought her the sweetest little personalized onesie, the cutest little pink knit romper, and a couple of headbands, so that was fun to incorporate into her session. Grandma even had her own personalized t-shirt, so if you scroll through you'll see that too!! :) 

It is always such a joy capturing your newborn babies during their first couple of weeks of life. Nothing is more precious than these new little babes. 

If you've lived in Memphis any length of time, you most likely know how pretty Memorial Park Cemetery is. There are just so many beautiful picturesque areas; it's not uncommon for client's to want to shoot there. I was so excited when Kyle and Corinne asked me to do their maternity photoshoot; they are my brother and sister-in-law's best friends. They requested Memorial Park because that's where they had taken their engagement photos  and wedding portraits years before. How appropriate to go back to the same place to celebrate this next major chapter. 

It was hot and humid, but they were such troopers, and we were able to get some beautiful maternity portraits for them to look back on, while they were pregnant with their first baby. 

Julia, initially, did not even care to have a wedding photographer for her big day. Boy, I am so glad that her mom was able to change her mind! Julia made such a gorgeous bride: so timeless. Julia and Clay's wedding was such a beautifully intimate wedding at the old Fillmore Street Chapel in Corinth, MS. If you have followed me for any length of time during my career as a wedding photographer, you know I absolutely love all the little wedding details that show off the couples' unique personalities. Julia and Clay's details did not disappoint! From Julia's white cowboy boots, to Clay's socks and Julia's purple fingernails. I love seeing how a couple can show off their unique personalities in the little details on their wedding day.

Baby B was the most alert newborn I've ever had pass in front of my lens. At just a few days old, he was already so full of personality. I think he had me laughing more than any other newborn I've photographed. His parents got a new pandemic puppy, and one of their main requests was to have Baby B's Great Dane big sister in the photos. She was a little unsure of me and my camera, at first, but we were finally able to get some really cute photos with her.

From the moment I met Lauren for coffee, I felt like I was catching up with an old friend. She's easy to talk to, outgoing, and I'm sure never meets a stranger. I first met Chase at their engagement session. He was harder to crack. Quiet, reserved, and definitely did not like being in front of the camera. They are the perfect match. I think I cracked him though. Their engagement session was a lot of fun, and I left being so excited for their April wedding!

[Enter Coronavirus shutdowns] Lauren and Chase ended up having an intimate elopement on their original wedding date, rescheduling the big sha-bang for November. It ended up being such a beautiful fall day at Orion Hill, and I think this is my new favorite Memphis wedding venue! Definitely top 5! 

Some of my favorite parts of their day included: Lauren's sister surprised her by bringing her Rottie baby, Duncan, up to Orion Hill to see her for a bit. Duncan is quite literally Lauren's baby, and this was such a sweet surprise! Lauren's first look with her dad had them both belly laughing and crying- such a sweet moment! Obviously Chase and Lauren's portraits! Despite Chase's dislike for being in front of the camera, Lauren and Chase make such a photogenic couple, and I was thrilled with their wedding portraits. And their reception was so much fun! Lauren danced non-stop with her tribe! So fun! 

All in all, it was such a beautiful wedding day, all around, and I am so glad that I was able to capture this incredible day for them!

Baby C's newborn photoshoot!

If any couple was more perfect for each other, it's Elizabeth & John. Even during their ceremony, their pastor talked about how he hardly takes on marriage counseling himself, as he has a team of associates under him. His wife told him that he needed to, personally, take on Elizabeth & John because they were something special. And she was right! Elizabeth and John are both so kind and genuine. They're funny and energetic. They love each other, but Jesus first. They can't go wrong. It was such an honor to be able to capture their wedding day. 

They were married on September 12, 2020 at Christ United Methodist Church. They originally planned to have their ceremony in the chapel, but it was moved to the sanctuary to allow for social distancing. Elizabeth was so gracious about the forced change, so instead, we did the majority of their portraits in the chapel. I love that they specifically requested some photos in "their" pew. They had a stunning reception that followed at The Atrium (which I think is my new favorite venue!) It rained off and on, which is good luck, they say! And who can guess Elizabeth's favorite Disney Princes?!

When Jessie asked me to travel with her to Pangburn, AR to photograph her wedding... It was a no brainer! I absolutely love these two! I first met them a couple of years ago for their maternity session. I've since shot their daughter's newborn photos, a family session, their engagement photos, and NOW! Their BEAUTIFUL WEDDING DAY!!! One of the best parts of my job, other than the obvious capturing the big moments, is when my clients become friends. When a relationship is formed and I can honestly say "I love these people!" I cried during their ceremony because I have genuinely come to care about Jessie and Brandon, and I was SO THRILLED for them on this day!

Jessie and Brandon tied the know on Love Mountain at The Wedding Barn, and they could not have asked for a more perfect day! It was warm, the sun was shining down on them, they were surrounded by people who love them dearly. And the view! You guys- the backdrop behind you, if you get married at The Wedding Barn is breathtaking! I hope they look back on their day and remember nothing but love and warmth and beauty!
